AIRTEL TOP 8 AWARDS

Airtel Malawi and football association of Malawi on Tuesday yesterday to celebrate the outstanding players from the airtel top 8 season 6 in Blantyre from 6 o’clock at Sunbird mount soche hotel.

FAM competitions and communications director Gomezgani Zakazaka confirmed in an interview saying “ this event is for outstanding players and media personel who  contributed to the success of the competition`s fourth edition.

Zakazaka said the awards would be offered to player of the tournament and top goal scorer in player’s category and to media in five different categories.

Lanjesi Nkhoma from FCB Nyasa big bullets won the player of the season award after his effort and abilities in last year`s tournament and he has also won top goal scorer award after scoring more goals than any other player.

Foster Mkwamba from MIJ radio won the best radio journalist for his outstanding sports program and Garry Chirwa from Nations Publications Limited won the best print journalist for his news writing skills.

Andrew Cane from online news agency Malawi 24 won as the best online journalist and Bobby Kabango from Nations Publications Limited won as the best photojournalist after his appealing pictures from the tournament. Hankey Chimtengo wins the best television journalist from Mibawa tv. FCB Nyasa big bullets are the champions of zamadolo top 8.

UEFA champions league draw took place today at UEFA headquarters.
