Malawi national council of sports 2023 awards

The ceremony  happened on the night of 16 February this year at Bingu international conference centre (BICC) in Malawi’s capital city Lilongwe. Karonga district was selected as Sports district of the year and Mibawa television was selected as best media house of the year following its contribution to Malawi’s football in 2023.

Temwa Chawinga who played his football in china has won sports personality of the year after her successful career in 2023. Lovemore Fazili, scorchers head coach was selected as Coach of the year. Yamikani Guba who is a Taikwendo athlete was selected as sports man of the year (2023).

Sports chairman award has goes to Malawi Defense Force (MDF) for a public sector while FDH bank won it under private sector and James chiutsi won it at individual level. Para sport against stigma has emerged as best executive sports program of the year. Mphatso Saukire is 2023s sports man of the year with disability.

Calisto Pasuwa who is a coach for Nyasa Big Bullets has won non-citizen sportsman of the year. Hanna Winesi who plays tennis was selected as sports women of the year, Chimwemwe Smith, a swimmer has won junior male sports male of the year and Victoria Mkwala won best player in Malawi girls’ team (under 15).

AIRTEL TOP 8 AWARDS

Airtel Malawi and football association of Malawi on Tuesday yesterday to celebrate the outstanding players from the airtel top 8 season 6 in Blantyre from 6 o’clock at Sunbird mount soche hotel.  Lanjesi Nkhoma" player of the 2023's tournament  FAM competitions and communications director Gomezgani Zakazaka confirmed in an interview saying “ this event is for outstanding players and media personel who  contributed to the success of the competition`s fourth edition. Zakazaka said the awards would be offered to player of the tournament and top goal scorer in player’s category and to media in five different categories. UEFA quarter final draw

UEFA champions league draw took place today at UEFA headquarters.
